    New Shield 40!

Finally. After debating for many months on whether or not I wanted to get a S&W Shield, I finally got one. One of the LGS near my house had a few in stock for $425, so it was hard to pass up. As long as it performs well at the range, this will for sure replace my Glock 27 as my EDC. The Shield feels a lot like the PPS I owned a few months ago. The big difference between the two other than price, is how it feels in my hand. The PPS felt awkward in my hand, but the Shield feels great.

Here it is. Just waiting for my SHTF Gear holster to arrive so I can start carrying it!

Even with the extended magazine? Your hands must be huge!

I love mine! The best pistol I have ever wrapped my mitts around.

The very first 7rds thru the Shield at 7yds:

Congrats! I look at the 9mm and the .40 and love how they felt in my hand, so is their a reason you went for the .40 and not the 9mm?

I carry a 40c currently, and one caliber is hard enough to feed, I can't imagine 2, especially as easy as this gun shoots. First range session at the farm was 400rds of various brands and types of bullet designs, gun ate everything and wanted more.

hahaha you asked sooo... 5 1/2" across and 8 1/2" from top of middle finger to wrist. With the pinky extender I can still only get 3 fingers on the grip. But boy do I love my full size M&P40!!

My S&W .40 Shield is a great little carry handgun. I have found mine to be accurate and reliable and easy to conceal with light clothing.

I personally can find .40S&W easier than 9mm right now in my local area. Kind of a deal maker for me and my 40

Carry mine every day that I work (Employer has "out of sight, out of mind" policy) in a ETW brand IWB , tuckable holster. I bought it on EBAY. It is the thinnest IWB I own.

I've tore between the 9mm and the .40 I have now two .45 which I would like to stay with the .45 but can go with the .40. Like it was said to try to buy two kind of caliber might not be a good ideal but I will think about this for now and maybe rent them.
