Heads up on a GOOD read - "The Complete Book of the Model 1911...
Whether you're a 1911 fan or not, this is a good read. I just spotted this on the "newsstand' and saw some interesting articles:
"Single or Double?" - action that is - some interesting thoughts that apply to non-1911 guns as well. Of course, they left out one expert's opinion, Ernst Langdon, who recently beat Rob Leatham and his 1# trigger 1911, that's right 1#. Ernst used a DA/SA Sig 220 ST. The ST has about an 8# DA and about a 4# SA.
"Myths, Lies, and Fallacies"
"The 9mm 1911 in IDPA" - lot to think about
"The Answer" - Novak removes the grip safety!
And there are a bunch of additional articles that you may find interesting. There seems to be a lot about 9mm 1911s.

Where do you get the book from, price, etc? Come on, you can't dangle topics in front of my face like that and not tell me where and how much. Sounds pretty good, and interesting though. Might get myself it for a christmas present

LOL! Sorry, guys it's a magazine; I got my copy at BiLo grocery in the magazine section. It costs $8; kinda pricey but got some good stuff in it.

Interesting. I've seen the Novak thing, and I think it is indeed the answer....to a question nobody asked! (somebody had to say it)

My wife brought me the magazine the other day, a bit "small" to be the complete book, but a good read none the less.

I just bought it last night at a local grocery store. I love the fact that my GI45 1911 made the front cover. LOL!

OK...Now You Have Sparked My Interest...
I'm headed to the book store (large magazine section) this weekend.
Thanks for the 'heads up'.
