Bullet Trap has 2 for sale, but not for rent.
    Any ideas?

If you were in SC you'd be welcome to take mine out for a spin. I can tell you that I absolutely love mine. I have the night sights for it, a stainless guide rod, and the lasermax centerfire laser, and talon rubberized grips with a Little FoxX holster. It's a fantastic micro-compact and my Summer EDC.

If you like the feel of it in your hand, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the pistol at all. I tried the Shield, PPS, and the like prior to getting the Nano, and the Nano was the only one that felt right in my hand. The others just felt too blocky like hholding a deck of cards to me.

    Niiice.
I know I'm going to get one. I've watched about a hundred reviews and tried a bunch of others in the same weight/size range.

I haven't seen the laser tho, that's kinda cool!

I really like the laser, and a number of holster makers have holsters to accomodate both my Lasermax model, and the alternative (and more expensive) Crimson Trace version. FoxX happened to support the Lasermax one, and I'm a FoxX holster fan and repeat customer. I can tell you that if you want a laser and talon grips, put the laser on FIRST. The grip wraps and slightly overlaps the trigger guart where the laser clips over it, so the grip tape will make it nearly impossible to snap the laser into place properly if the tape is already on the grip when you get the laser. I can also say that if you want talon grips and you can't decide between granulated or rubberized, and you plan to concealed carry and the grip will touch skin anywhere on your body, get the rubber grips! that granulation is skateboard tape, and it's literally like 80 grit sandpaper against your skin. It's rough as can be. I'vbe had both grip materials on this gun. The only downside to the Nano I've seen is that it holds one less round than some competition like the PPS and Shield, in that it holds 6+1 std cap, and 8+1 ext mag cap. I believe several other models hold one more round per mag type. The feel of the gun and it's reliability and price sold me, though. I didn't have $600+ to spend on a micro at the time and the Nano was perfect at about $380 when I got it new.

I am going to try to make it to shoot smart in Grand Prairie tomorrow (Friday) with my wife around 1 or 2, and will have access to a nano, pf9, p250sc, and cz 2075. You are welcome to shoot any of them.

I do recommend the talon grips, they are great.

What a great place this is!!! I shot trap for the first time last week and could not believe how friendly all the shooters were, I am a bit introverted/reclusive by nature. Several of the guy's there even offered me their obviously expensive guns to try. Wow.
But here on DC it appears that happens as well. This is really something!

We share a passion for something we love, whereas the anti hordes only come together to hate. Which do you think stands a better chance of survival? When you share a keen interest in a hobby or skill, people tend to be helpful about introducing more folks into their passion.

OK, I tried to the nano down at Eagle Gun range.. "hated it!".. double snap (remember the movie critics on living color?)

I ended up (after shooting over 20 guns) with a Kimber 1911 Custom TLE II (Used) love it!

It's a little large for carrying on my person or in my purse, but a lot of fun to shoot.

I do love the 1911 platform and the .45 caliber...just need a more compact version...the hunt continues

When you get into a micro 1911 in 45, you get a lot more muzzle flip. I I'd suggest you test fire one of those as well. You might find you prefer that size in a 9mm, or go with a commander size in 45. I've got a STI escort in 45 and am in Dallas often enough if you can't find a rental to test fire.

The Beretta Px4 Storm subcompact may be a good choice for you, Carol.

    A less expensive suggestion

If you like the 1911 platform and the Kimber is to large, I would actually suggest you look at a RIA Compact. I have a RIA Tactical Compact that has yet to hiccup on anything I feed it. Paid less than $500 new (couple of years ago). The 3 1/2" barrel makes it concealable (thought a bit heavy at 31 ozs). It physically is the same measurements as my Glock 19. Not as fancy as a high-end 1911, but as a solid reputation, is accurate as heck, and affordable to most.

    Just my two cents worth...

Go with the longest barrel you can CC. I love all of you who love these minature pistols............... but. Accuracy...beyond a couple of feet........ comes from training and a longer barrel. Just my opinion................ And I would say that of my .22 BUG = accuracy counts before size, but you have to have a 'tool' you can use effectively to measure up to the job.

Some of you are amazing people who have incredible shots on target (I applaud you), but for the most of the others here, smaller is not always better...... Just Sayin........

Granted, I am a large person who can get away with a full frame semi or wheel gun.....

I've been on the range, with people who train often, who cannot shoot the stuff out of the short barrel, but can nail a 10 ring with a larger frame firearm/handgun. A lot of that has to do with site picture......

All you experts can now dogpile me............

Bigger and longer is better............. My Humble Opinion.

Remember, a very large recoil, if the round is placed correctly = much better effects on target. Short barrel pistols/revolvers/wheel guns may not be your best choice, until you try out the options.
