Sending the new gun to SA

Just a call from my smith. He tuned the extractor and tinkered with but it still is not working properly. He thinks it would be best to let them have a look at before doing anything that would keep them from covering it under warranty. So I will pick it up tomorrow and get it sent out this week. I'm a little saddened but remaining hopeful

From what I understand the SA Custom Shop does some fine work, since it's going anyway maybe a reliability package and checkered front strap or other nice improvement would be fitting. I am sure it will come back in working order.

I understand the sentiment but I have never been fond of it honestly. Glock has never fit fit me well. My next semi will either be an xds in 9mm or a full size MP 9 , they feel better in hand to me and I shoot them very well

Springfield's customer service is top notch - you won't regret sending it back, other than the time without your piece.

It really sucks to have to part with a new acquisition but it's comforting to know when it comes back, it'll be in working order and won't need to go bye-bye again.

ETA: That's a sweet piece and I really liked the grips on it!

I'm sure SA will get it running right for you. Just hope it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to do it. Since you didn't buy it new, you are responsible for all cost.

They were quick when I sent my Champion in for a slide stop issue. Fixed it the first time too.
