I'll compare the P229 SAS Gen 2 to the M11-A1 as that's a more apples to apples comparison.

    -M11-A1 is chambered in 9mm, the P229 is 9mm/.40/.357sig.
    -M11-A1 holds 15rds of 9mm, the P229 holds 13.
-M11-A1 is the same price as the P229 SAS Gen 2, and has the same Short Reset Trigger.
-M11-A1 has that silly RFID chip, and grips that identify it as a P228 which seems to upset Sig enthusiasts.
-They both have the same size and weight.

Assuming you'd be getting the P229 in 9mm, the only real difference is the P229 SAS has the melt treatment on the slide, and the M11-A1 holds two more rounds.

    Sounds pretty good.

    I just went with a real 228.

    Not disappointed.

My P229 came with two 15rd magazines. It didn't come with the SRT trigger. Wish it did but not that big of a deal. Had the M11 been on the shelf when I went shopping, it would have been my pick for sure. The P229 feels like it was made for my hand.

My P229 (in 9mm) came with a total of three 15 round mags, the SRT trigger, and E2 grips. I've had it a little over a year and I LOVE IT! It's my everything gun. It's not a pocket gun, but it is concealable, and it's a so much fun to shoot.

New 229s come with 15 round mags in 9mm. They started that when they came out with the E2s. The mags are different.
