I is a nice size for her hands and it "looks cute." She loves my XD SC 9mm and so a 9mm Ladysmith should not be a problem. Anybody ever shoot one of these?
Awesome choice! I'd love to get one myself. I think this version of the 3913 and the "standard" version are some of the finest semi-autos ever made by S&W.
I forgot to mention I got it for $450. A guy bought it brand new in March 2006 for his girlfriend, but then they broke up so he traded it back in. He paid $650 for it.

You got a good price on what may be the best of the S&W semiautos. I have read dozens of favorable postings on various websites about this particular gun, which seems to have a strong following. In many ways the S&W 3913 resembles the Sig P239 in 9mm, in that both are slim, single stack, aluminum frame DA/SA guns with a decocker. The S&W additionally gives you a thumb safety, of course.
I own the predecessor gun to the 3913, a S&W model 39 with similar features that I bought new in 1968:
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

Way back when the wife wanted a ladysmith 3913 , couldnt find one so had to settle for a standard 3913 and put an action job in it . Nice find for her , tell her congrats from us too .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .
We only begin to understand folks after we stop and think .
She shot it today and she absolutely loves it!!!! She likes how she can slide it back easy and the short trigger pull is really good for her. We were looking at a Taurus millennium Pro 9mm and we read on here about the long trigger pull. We went and handled one at the gun shop and pulled the trigger and it is real long.
I am glad I got this gun! It has made my day seeing her love it! It was a little cold to shoot (11 degrees) for her, but she had a blast!
