    Now Like a Glock??

Ok, so I never really liked Glocks. They are ugly, and don't really feel as good in my hand as other pistols. And I don't like the notion of owning something the masses prefer. So privately in my own head I disregarded them. But I finally got so darn tired of hearing Glock-a-holic talk, I tried one out at the range today.

Well, it shot very well, I shot it quite well, it worked perfectly. I really liked it. So, I bought a Glock 19 Gen4 today. I'm thinking it could be both a very good range gun and carry gun wrapped into one.

M and P's are still great, as are 1911's, etc, but I apologize for my rude and impure thoughts towards Glocks, even if they were all in my own head - Think I'm gonna like this one.

Very cool! The G19 is the best one Glock offers too. It will probably want some friends so don't be surprised if a 26 and other models start joining in! Like this!

Yeah congrats, I have being toying with the ideal myself so I did what you did I went a rented one and the g26, I do like how it feel in my hand. So I didn't have a 9mm to go with my two .45 and I had the XDm 3.8 9mm on layaway yesterday but I got to thinking that I have two of the Springfield let my go back and take that XDm 3.8 off of layaway and get the G19 4gen w/ the factory night sight on layaway. So what kind of holster you going to go with?

Yep, I hated em until I had to shoot one at the range - it all changed from there. The darkside is real! But seriously, they're touted as one of the best pistols for a reason. I fought it hard, but a glock is a great gun, for many more reasons than I knew when I hated them.

Great gun you got there, gen 4 glock 19 is a sweet shooter, and a great carry gun.

It's hard to argue against Glock...but if it makes you feel better, I don't like the gen4 guns

I started with glocks long ago. Then became a 1911 guy. Sold the glocks. Spent a week at Gunsite last winter. I (and a few others with 1911's) spent a lot of time at the smithy. None of the glock guys did. Also, the glock capacity sure beat my 8. Since then I have acquired 4 glocks, and very happy with them (17,19,26,30s). I love to shoot the 11911's at the range, but carry either the glock or a sig.

Well, thanks for the positive comments, not that I expected anything less regarding a Glock:)) I don't have a holster yet, but will get one soon. I fondled a G34, and was mildly sold on it, but I already have a MP 40 pro, which is similar and love it. But shooting the G19 made me wonder about the G23... In any case I'm going to shoot the hell out of the G19 tomorrow, and we'll see just how long term this relationships lasts.... Just goes to show you there are so many worthy platforms and models that are worthy, regardless of our own biases.....

PS - They are still ugly, but I now appreciate how they (and I) can shoot them:))
