    Back to a 1911.

As you guys know by now that I am down to just one carry gun.
I have been carrying my Gen4 Glock 27 and I have been very happy with it.
But I have just been wanting a 1911 again for carry. I just love the way the 1911 shoots.
So I went on Armslist yesterday and put my G27 up for trade for a nice 1911 carry gun.
After all the different offers I got, I ended up with an almost new Ruger SR1911 Commander.
I am very happy with the deal I got and so was the guy I traded with.
This Commander shoots and carries awesome. It is a good day today.

That's a good looking gun. Don't understand why you didn't keep both though? At least if you miss your glock it will be easy to come by one again. How many rounds did you have on your Glock?

That's probably a good trade up. The SR1911 won't be as easy to carry as the G27, but your range visits should be a little more pleasant.

I couldn't keep both because of money. But I will get another Glock when I have the funds. This Commander is not really that hard to carry.

I had about 800 rounds through the Glock. The 1911 has about 200 round through it.

I traded a G22 for my Springfield Armory GI 1911 and couldnt be happier.... its ablast to shoot and being a commander le length it actually conceals quite well.

As much as I hate to admit it if a Commander fell into my lap I'd probably start carrying it myself. Hard to not love the things. (Maybe I should go try to trade my government model for one)

Very cool, congrats! I carry a commander as well. Conceals pretty easily with an untucked shirt

I'm carrying a full sized Government with, so far, no problems. I like the Glocks but do not own one . so carry decisions are easy for me .

Commander sure would be nice, though
