Just curious how many other folks carry a Smith & Wesson N frame or a comparably sized revolver from another manufacturer on a regular basis. I carry a Smith 627 8 shot 357 magnum, 2-5/8 inch barrel. Lobo Gun Leather IWB holster and Perry suspenders to help distribute the weight. Rig weighs 42 ounces fully loaded. I have found that barrel length is much more critical in determining what I carry than width, grip, or weight.
Thank you to any folks who reply.
.....and people call me crazy for carrying an L frame?
You good people are some rugged individuals!
I only tote them afield.
Haven't regularly carried one concealed. Would like to but need to acquire a proper 3-inch or 4-inch .44 Special, .45 Colt, or .45 ACP Smith & Wesson revolver for the purpose first.

two S&W 625's are part of my EDC rotation. i have a tuned 3", which is usually carried in a Kramer Belt Scabbard, Kramer Vertical Scabbard, or a COM kydex OWB paddle holster. the other 625 is a 4" Performance Center gun, carried in a NW Tactical kydex OWB holster or in a Kramer Vertical Scabbard..
between them, i estimate that i carry these two guns about 20% of the time. my other rotation guns are a Smith 66, 2.5", three Sig P-series DA/SA pistols, a Kahr CM-9 and a S&W 642. all are 'point and shoot' guns without external safeties.
I found a gorgeous 4" 25-5 my dream gun, next to a polished stainless .38 Super.. Anyway, the Model 25 was just a skosh more than I had in my pocket :-(
Still looking for another 4" .41 . N Frames are my favorite Smiths
I occasionally conceal carry a 4" Colt Python .357 magnum and two speed loaders for nostalgia. I occasionally conceal carry a 4" S&W 29-2 .44 magnum and two speed loaders as a woods gun. The 8" Colt Anaconda and 8 3/8" S&W 29-2 with speed loaders are open carried occasionally in rural areas of Oregon.
I carry a gun, because a Cop is too heavy.

I used to have an N-frame .357 Mag but never carried it. What a shooter, though! Wish I had that one back...

I carried a beautiful N frame Mod. 58 .41 Mag years ago, but alas today I prefer lightweight plastic AIWB.
S&W 329PD open carried pretty much all the time.
Carried my 25-5 or 29-3 many times.

I rotate carry depending on my mood and dress, and often find myself carrying that same 627 in a Lobo IWB.
