Picked up my Sig P239 w/ night sights and 4 mags a little over an hour ago!
Next week I'm heading to the courthouse and dropping off the 'ole CHP application - should be heading to Wally World in the New Year!
Now, to get to the range!
Congrats on a great carry gun! Did you get it in 9, 40, or 357?
Range report hopefully coming this weekend! And Class - I do believe I noticed the "INSPECTED BY CLASS3NH" sticker in the left breast pocket.
So far, the grip feels FANTASTIC, the weight is ideal, and just tucking it in my waistband I can tell it's going to be super comfy with a Max Con V (ordering soon).
It's my first gun with night sights, and man, are they cool! Makes things MUCH easier, and I'll no longer have to resort to instinctive or point shooting when in low-light conditions.
I was pleased to find out that I have absolutely no issue with the stock grips. I've read (on this forum and others) that some don't like the "blocky" feel of the front strap, and get Hogue grips for it. I may do this eventually just for the extra comfort factor, but only after this has been decommed as a carry pistol (perhaps once I get the one in .40/.357 Sig). With a magazine in, I can get a full enough grip on the pistol, without a mag, my pinky hangs off a bit. No biggy.
Field-stripping is fantastic (I LOVE how Sig pieces their parts together), and on the whole, it feels like a finely machined, tight piece. Can't wait to fire it!

on the new arrival.
I have two .45's and one 9mm with night sights, and they make a big difference to these 60 year old eyes.
If I ever have to roam in the dark (or dim light) they will be a BIG help.

Nate? Did you get the gun with the Hogue gripper fingergroove grips? or the stock plastic ones? Might feel best with the rubber Hogues, as they make the gun more controlable and also facilitate better drawing capabilities.. (whispering) they also help absorbe the recoil too) Good luck with your new toy!! and I'm pretty positive I've had my mits on it too...not a bad thing, but I DO love to handle em all. hehehehe
Why Waltz when you can Rock-N-Roll
Congrats on the new gun , hope it works well for you. Looking forward to a range report.
I've been doing some online shopping for one of those tonight but have gotten a little overwhelmed. I'm kinda stuck between the 239 in 40 S&W, P220 SAO or DAK in .45. Then there's the P239 40 S&W and E2022 SIGPRO...HELP!
Congrats on the new gun purchase.

Man, I'm envyous. Great buy. I've tried the Sig tru-glow night sights and I fell in love. When I pick my Sig, I'm going with the night sights too.
Nate, I'm sure you'll love the 239. Mine in 9 mm is my favorite. I put the Houge finger grips on mine and really like the feel. they just seem to "mold" to my hand!
(CLASS3NH, I see, according to an email announcement I got this morning, the 556s are now starting to ship!! Gotta save my money! )
EOD - Initial success or total failure
