I don't always carry a 1911, but when I do it's a Nighthawk Custom with 230gr Fed HSTs or 230gr Winchester Ranger Ts

I'm with JD - when I'm not carrying my HK, I carry an Ed Brown Kobra Carry (commander) loaded with 230 gr Federal HST or 230 gr Winchester Ranger T.

I like variety. SA Compact 45ACP, Ruger SR1911CMD 45ACP, Colt Delta Elite 10MM, Kimber Custom 45ACP, SA Miicro-Compact 45ACP plus a few others.

Depending on what's handy - Springer 1911 A1 or TRP, or Kimber CDP 4-inch.

Carry load is typically Federal 230 Hydrashok or HST.

I dont carry my 1911s, they are more than I want to carry around all day. I have two, a Remington Rand from 1919, and a custom, built off of a millitary frame , SA slide, Barstow barrel, and Wilson trigger. The custom shoots much better but the Remington just makes me smile everytime I look at it.

The SA Micro Compact above might be something Id carry tho. Very Cool! Dr
