    LCP serial numbers

A friend of mine with no interest in nor knowledge of firearms has just found himself inheriting a bunch of guns, many of them NIB. There is a small chance there might be an LCP in the pile, and a smaller chance that if there is it might be a newer one with the improved sights and trigger. So... is there a serial number change for the newer ones I can have him look for?

    Joe,
The new guns have no dash in the serial numbers and it has a larger sights. I don't know the start of the new serial numbers so best way to tell is just make sure it has no dash after the first 3 numbers.

Perfect. A change in format is even better (easier) than number ranges to look for! Thanks!
