    Glock Gen2 21 slide

I recently acquired a police trade-in Gen 2 G21 with some holster wear on the slide. I can deal with for the time being but would eventually like to clean up the slide. Is there anything out there that I could do myself or should I have a gunsmith do it, send it to Glock, duracote, stainless steel? Thanks in advance.

If I were going to have a gun redone, here is what I would go with. Lou does top-notch work:

Thanks! Does he offer different colors and what is his turn around time?

Give Lou a call, and trust what he tells you on turnaround. The last time he did work for me, he promised a two-week turnaround. I had it back in my hands in ten days.

That's a great turn around time. I'll give him a call. Thanks for the info!

I'm sure you'll want to pretty it up, but in case you're concerned about eventual corrosion, I'll tell you this: I've seen some gray, totally abused and neglected Glocks. I've yet to ever see one with rust on it.

I had one rust on me, but the situation was unusual. I had been carrying it IWB in the 110-degree South Dakota heat all day when I arrived at my destination. I left it holstered in my vehicle, and it started showing rust at the tip of the barrel a very short time later.
