I use that pocket for my folding knife and Inova X5. Now that we're somewhat on topic, what does everyone else use that pocket for?
I believe it was originally designed as a key pocket, but I'm not positive.
That pocket was for a pocket watch for those people who didn't wear a vest with a watch pocket. I use it to carry my emergency lighter (I don't smoke but like to keep a lighter hany for emergencies).
It looks like it may work, but it doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy with the exposed trigger so close to your cell phone. Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing this bare bones option.
That's a pretty decent non-holstered carry option, at least for a pistol with external safeties. Don't know if I'd try it with a Glock though...

i use that pocket for the extry mag for my p3at and/or for the speed strip for the model 60.
Wasn't that suppost to be the small pocket to hold your loose change in?
Knowing my luck, if I carried like that a roll of fat will disengage the thumb safety and engage the backstrap safety. I'll reach into a pocket for a jolly rancher and

right in the testicles.
Looks to me like bringing the weapon into play would be slow and difficult. I think I'd prefer a real holster.
I always used that pocket to hold air. I think I would carry with the trigger covered
The Kimber 1911 was used for the photo is not my CCW piece. When I use this carry method it is with my S&W 4516-1 D/A. There is no danger of an un intended discharge with the Smith's exposed trigger. It is virtually undetectable under a tee shirt. If using any other pistol I would evaluate the safety of using this method. Works for me maybe not for you

I've carried like that with my 5906, just finished assembling it at the kitchen counter and someone started banging on the door...
I knew the scouts were out collecting food for the food bank and I could see them through my window, I just covered it with my untucked long sleeve shirt.

Unsafe...slow to grab...slow to draw...wear on weapon...and unsafe + unsafe.
Would HIGHLY reccommend that you spring for a good holster and belt system. IWB if you feel that would meet your need.
Ultimately...to each their own. --------
