    Hog leg

Question: how do you define a hog leg? I've always known a hog leg as a large caliber revolver with a long barrel. Just curious as to regional definitions. Thanks,

The context was a biker riding down the highway with a hog leg strapped on. If Gearhead's hog leg was strapped on... I don't want to think about it.

I have always heard of a large SA revolver being referred to as a hog leg.

I always think of a hogleg as a Colt or Remington Single Action Revolver.

I'd say the barrel length would have to be 6" or longer and calibers in the big bore territory.
