    This followed me home today

    A 1975 AColt Commander in .38 Super! Ai yi yi! This follows close on the heels of my Model 57 returning from Smith And Wesson . Range reports tomorrow. Well heck, no clue how to upload the pics, sorry guys.

    Thanks so much,Maxwell!!! Okay ,obviously the first is the Model 57 with the Texas Pancake from Simply rugged , the second is the Commander with a Government for comparison .

    I've been looking for one of these for YEARS. I understand they make maybe 1/100 to the .45 . This one was made in 1975, a Series 70 and has had maybe 40 rounds put through it prior to it becoming mine.

    NICE Catch! That Commander is a 70 series, which means you should be on the hunt for a 9mm barrel and mag so you can shoot both calibers of if it.

    In fact, yes. I am having a hell of a time finding a Colt barrel but it appears Stormlake does them . I like the idea of a drop in . Quick change as ammo requires . I also am thinking of a 9 mm barrel for one of the Government models as well.
