    G3630?

Today while reading another post I discovered that a G36 slide will work on a G30 frame. I did the swap and it was a perfect fit! Now I have the G30's 10+1 capacity with a slimmer slide.

Anyone tried this or had problems with it?

But will it function correctly in that configuration?

Isn't this the FrankenGlock configuration that Glock came up with for that LAPD special operations unit then decided to offer to the public as the G30s? I believe it is, but feel free to correct me.

Lots of people do it. Glock even does it. They sell it as the Glock 30S.

It functions with Glock perfection! FrankenGlock, that is.

I haven't yet encountered a G30s in my LGS but this must be close to that particular model.

G30 S is a G30 SF frame and G36 slide. I don't grasp the advantage as the frame is still G30 wide, but there's a market for just about anything.

So, what happened to the G36 with the heavier slide?

    Different strokes for different folks.

Your FrankenGlock should work just fine.

I prefer the G36 specifically for the size of the frame so it (and the new G30s) doesn't appeal to me but some folks love them.
*WARNING - I may or may not know what I am talking about.
