Good deal, you'll love it. I have the 38spl LCR and like it a lot. Yes you can shoot cast bullets. I shoot cast bullets through my LCR, SP101 and GP100, heck I shoot cast through my Sig P229. Cast bullets do smoke a lot though, don't like it indoors.
I carry a .357mag because no one bickers about the .357mag being "enough".

Wish I still had my LCR 357. I can't remember what I traded it for now. That little snub is very accurate if you learn to stage the trigger. Shooting .38's is a breeze, but after 10 .357's that was enough. It's not fun. Practice with .38's and carry .357. I'd love to have another.

Congrats! I love my LCR, as most do. I just sent 50 lead blazers down range with it yesterday.

Congrats on the new gun. Lead bullets shouldn't be a problem out of it.

i thought maybe just going with the .38spl model but with the pedigree of 357mag, i'm opting for the latter.
