    My new daily carry firearm!

I got an early Christmas present for myself. I've been dying to get a new daily carry gun, and I knew I wanted a small frame revolver. Concealing a full size 1911 is somewhat hard because I am sort of on the small side, so I chose this little fella right here...

    A Ruger SP101!

The trigger on it is more clean and crisp than the Taurus 617 (I still miss that thing too) I had. The grips are just right for my hands, and its very easy to conceal. I'll get a range report on it ASAP.

Yep - a mini tank for sure.

Mine does not see carry much now but is still the small piece of choice for backpack, truck extra type duty.

90% of the time I'm an auto man, but you can't go wrong with a good wheel gun. Love the grab and go pocket value they give us.

Hard to go wrong with an SP 101!

    Congrats and shoot often.

I think those have to be one of the most popular small wheel guns. I know I really like mine. One of these days I'll the the hammer bobed and an action job done on it.

I have a Bianchi leather holster that I used to carry my Taurus 617 in. It works fine for the SP101. I'm glad I kept the holster.

I bought a blued Taurus 605 yesterday. Went to the range and put 75 rounds through it to get a little familar with it. Mrs Santa Claus is making a custom pocket holster for me from some suede she had laying around. Life is grand!

I love the SP101's. I'd carry one as a CCW weapon if it wasn't for me being left-handed (reload times are alot longer than a right-handed person)

Nice pistola. I would not feel under-gunned with it. That is one of the guns on my "must have someday" list. Enjoy it, I know I would.
