Great gift- I have the XD 45 Service model, and I love it. I want to get the tactical model at some point in the future. My wife gave me a nice gift. I had wanted a Ruger 10/22 for the bug out bag, and she gave it to me. I had mentioned it to her as something that I would like, and since this is a lean year for us, it was affordable. I didn't think about the background check. Had she given me a box with a note that it was waiting for me to pick up, I could have gotten it without the background check, as a CCW holder. But, it's nice to actually have it. One of her presents hasn't arrived, and I had to do the empty box wrapped with a note inside.

John you are truly a blessed man to receive a gift like that. Now the big question. What did you get her?

congratulation on your new gun. I have an XD 9 it is a great gun I know you will like yours. My wife did something similar also. She went to the gun store to buy some laser grips for me and had to call me for my model number.
