Enter if you dare. S&W 327 Range Report

Today I am TLTT so I am giving you this RR in GSAs. I hope you are not TLTR! If so, maybe ur 2 old! (Just ask JL!)

Mr. FFG and I went to the RRPC Tuesday to exercise our RKBA. I wanted to try out my new SW 327 PC. Because it was cold and wet outside we went to the IR. I brought a box of PMC 132GR .38 spl. FMJ, a box of PMC 158GR .38 spl. FMJ and a box of Blazer 158GR JHP .357. I set up my targets at 25'. All my shots were DA except maybe 2-3 that I did SA.

I did not use the MCs that came with this BFR only because IDK how they work. (I do now!). I started with the 132s. After the bite of my J-frame Taurus, this 327 had no FR. It felt like I was holding a bunny rabbit. YMMV. COM was accomplished. See pix.

Next I went on to the 158 .38s. Pretty much the same thing but this time I was watching for something else - CJ, AKA BP. This 327 is a Ti/Sc which are known for CJ because they are so lightweight. I need to find a FMJ brand that won't CJ on the last one. (Yeah, I read the OM.) This can cause a FUBAR! After the first 7 (of 8), I inspected the last FMJ against a fresh one in the box and sure enough it had significantly CJed! No more PMCs for this one. I need to try another brand.

I moved onto the JHPs. Wow! This was the first time I've shot a .357. Again, the FR was negligible but the boom and the flash surprised me. Way cool. I am loving me some .357! Much more pleasant than the G30SF .45ACP for me. The CJ on the 8th round was there but not as much so I won't be using Blazers again after I finish the box.

Since the 327 is an 8-rounder, IMHO CJ is more likely in this one than in a fiver.

FWIW, I think this one is going to be my EDC alternating with my XD9SC. It's a big N-frame but with a 2" BBL so it won't be a summer CC too often. It is only 20 OZ. I got a Remora IWB/OWB for it on order. It came with 3 MCs and I have 8 more on the way. I am also getting a single SL holder that I can mount on my belt upside down so the MC can drop down for a total of 16 when the SHTF and the zombies come. This GG will get the BGs with this rig!

BTW, I hope you enjoyed this. It was actually a PITA to use GSAs so it won't happen again. I promise.

You lost me also. My reaction: There's the kids texting again. I'm outa here. I'm not going to sit with a printed list of acronyms at my side in order to read a DC post.

For those of us who are older and who ARE interested, perhaps you would use real words in the future?

If not, that's life I guess.

I'll just load up those 11 MCs and hope I have a chance with 88. (PS: The MCs are not required on this revolver. I think they're just sort of a SL.)
