Question Thinking of a new purchase

Anybody here have any feedback or experience with the BLACKWATER edition of the Sig P226? I'm thinking seriously of this purchase. It comes with 5 sp mags and has a red front dot and green rear dots as the night sight combo. I like that.

    Me Thinks...

you need to quit thinking and get right on up to that gun shop and give that Sig a home...

    You know you want to...

Why don't you set a goal...if five more guy tell you to 'go ahead' and get it...(may be hard to find on this forum)...I'd say, you met your goal!

Send pics of the new little guy!

All I can say is Jim - my 226 ST has all but reached the 2 year mark of EDC - and I am unlikely to change that any time soon

I saw that in a past edition of Handgunner (I think). Also should come with two sets of grips, one wood and one plastic/composite. The wood ones should have the Blackwater logo.

If only I weren't left handed.

You can count mine as a "yes" vote if I were right handed. (You hearing any of this SIG??)

I know an FFL who's been getting me some great deals and so I won't know until I can contact him. I ran this past him once before a long time ago and was quoted IIRC about $850 NIB out the door. But not including the transfer fees. Have to see if I can still get it for that.

Why would that 226 be any different than a normal 226? Other than the cosmetic differences? Still the same awesome quality and craftsmanship.

    Buy it.

    MSRP is $1099.95
It sells for about $875 here.

It's almost too nice to carry, like the P239 SAS , but it will stand by you through thick and thin.

As luck would have it, the latest issue of Combat Handguns reached my mailbox today and there is an article of this exact gun inside! I really like it now: The gun is made of the lightweight alloy that feels so much lighter than the standard steel Sig. That's the difference between this and my Beretta M92FS and a major reason I don't carry the Beretta. The alloy Sig is really light. That's a motivator for me.
