Just bought a Shield in 9 mm. I could have gotten one in .40, but I am getting it as a pocket pistol for the summer. Has anyone shot both? I have a Ruger SR40c and a SR9c. The 40 does not bother me, but the Shield is pretty small.
I intend it to replace my LC9 due to the superior reset. Maybe I'll get both. I live in California, so both will be unavailable after this year.

I like my 9mm in the Shield, I think the 40 would fine a little mor recoil.
I sometimes wish my 9mm Shield had more recoil...but not fewer rounds. Maybe it's all about priorities but +P evens things out enough to stick to 9mm. I have tried to carry this gun in my pocket with Sticky Holster and this didn't last long.
My wife has both the 9 and 40 and loves them.
I had the 9 traded for the 40. I really can't tell the difference with the recoil between the 2.
My rifle and pistol are tools, I am the weapon.
