    Remington arms co website

I bought the new r51, went to their website for info and to register my new gun for warranty service...none of the menu pulldowns even mention the r51 as a selection, there is no choice for registering the r51. It is like the gun doen't even exist. This is the first experence with remington, but i am very concerned with their attention as to the much talked about r51 and its future. I called and received a prepaid envelop for returning the gun for service on mon april 14, i will update service issue when i receive the gun back. Anyone have the same issue on the website issue?

First i love the gun. The slide is so hard to maneuver, the slide release is very hard to use with one thumb. It jams. My wife could not cock the slide or thumb the slide release, it was that stiff...now, i sent it in for service hoping these small issues can be fixed. I am worried more over the non info of the r51 on their website.

Your not the only person who have had the slide issues with the R51. It appears Remington pushed the gun out the door before sufficient testing of it. That is no excuse for them not keeping their website updated for the models they sale.

Welcome and sorry to hear about your issues. The R51 is gathering a pretty negative reputation, unfortunately. Hopefully Remington will be able to sort it out for you, if you plan to keep it.

As for the registration - I took a look at their online registration and I don't see any pulldown menu in the form, just a spot for the serial number. What pull down are you referring to?

I think it's too late already to salvage the reputation of this handgun.

Remington will have to announce an improved newer version of this pistol if they expect to save it from the discontinued list. After they actually make some improvements.

R51-A or R51-II or somthing similar.
