    Just picked up my first 1911.

    A Kimber Custom II. Field stripped her yesterday,getting ready to take her out for her maiden voyage. Needless to say,I am very excited!!!!

    Mine is the same, just the stainless version. You did well, Kimber makes a good 1911. I will say you'll want some different magazines.

    Nice gun. Kimbers are deffinatly some of the best 1911s in my opinion. My first 1911 is a half breed, custom. But its one sweet gun. Here is a pic of it, would love to hear how its shooting. IMG_20140418_162208_187.jpg

    I hope you really enjoy it!

    Not trying to hijack a thread, but not being a 1911 guy, I really dont get the differences between a browning Hi Power, and a 1911. And why the 1911s are so much more popular.

    1911's are certainly addicting . . . I bought one a year ago and now I have three. Just picked up a very sweet, new Ruger SR, 1911 Commander last week to go with my Remington R1 and Springfield GI. Enjoy your new Kimber.
