    Shield or nano?

I currently own a G26 and I love it, but I was wanting to get something smaller to keep in my car or something just smaller for concealed carry in the summer. I was wondering if anybody here has had good experiences with either the beretta nano or the S&W Shield. Also i was wondering how much smaller these are than the g26 and if it is worth owning that along with either one of these firearms.

I started a post like this many moons ago. I ended up with the Nano. I haven't carried it yet but will real soon. The Nano has a little bit longer of a trigger pull than the G26. I have both btw. The Nano is smaller to me at least.

I owned a Shield and have put several rounds through a Nano. Flip a coin...I personally think the Nano is a better/heavier built pistol. Having said that I shoot the Kahr CM9 and the Ruger LC9 better than the Shield and Nano.

The Shield is a good gun, but it's not a lot smaller than the G26/27. It's thinner and a tiny bit lighter, what being a single-stack and all, but the grip is longer (4.6 in to 4.17 in) and that's the part that, in my experience, is hard to conceal.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

I carry the Shield everyday to work and the reason it stays really hidden because it's very thin. I can't say anything about the Nano because I never held one in person.

Shield……..carry it as a BUG everyday. It isn't hard to conceal at all. To me the Nano is top heavy.

Shield. After I held a Nano, I gave up the idea of ever buying one.

Love my 9MM Shield carried in a Ryman single clip holster. 200 rounds so far, very accurate and dependable.

Another vote for the Shield, primarily based on the trigger differences. Small striker-fired guns seem easier to shoot accurately to me than small DA guns.

What turned me off from the Shield was no ambidextrous safety as I'm left handed.

i don't have any experience with the Nano, but the shield is great. it shoots really well and feels great to carry. if someone asks me to recommend something small to carry, this is my choice.
