    New Colt Government & Holster....

I promised pics when I picked up my new Colt XSE Government. I ran 100 flawless rounds through this gun, so far extremely happy. Was lucky to pick up a holster for this gun over at 1911 forum, a Max-Con V. All I can say is that holster lives up to its hype. I can't believe how well I can conceal this gun and how comfortable this holster is. Thanks for looking!

    Maxcon...

I find that when drawing the gun from the holster, the sheer act of drawing causes the slide/thumb safety to disingage. Seems like all I have to do is draw and sqeeze that trigger. Is that an intentional design/feature on the Maxcons? Does your guys 1911 do the same?

I used the holster maybe once or twice so it's not even broken in. Give it some time and it will break in nicely. It's a tight fit and that is what's probably causing the safety to disengage although it shouldn't. Could be an issue with the gun also? Is the safety easy/hard to disengage by hand? Worth looking into. Take care of my old Maxcon!!

    Slim grip panels?

It looks like you have the slim grip panels on that Colt. Am I correct?

I like those myself on a carry 1911, as they slim down the grip width by about 0.2 inches and help concealability.
