That is a nice looking piece. Kimber makes those, right? (Please be patient, I'm still learning this stuff.)

Okay, based on what folks said in the "What's a 1911" post, is that a 1911? I was noticing the trigger.

Yes - nice compact - in fact some what like a Hawg in size.

That's a nice looking gun. I went into the local gunshop and I'm debating between the Kimber Aegis II and a Kimber Ultra RCP II. I'm convincing myself that "I do" indeed need both.

I have the Pro Tactical and to my surprise it turned out to be the best Kimber I've had yet out of the box.

That is a nice carry piece.

That's the first gun & knife combination that resonated with me. I carried a K-Bar for many years in the USN. Mine had the short 6" blade. I have never really understood the penchant for showing a knife with a gun when the gun is the subject of the photo.

Nice. I used to have one and I liked it (but I prefer the longer barrel of a commander length). I especially liked the fact that they come with an installed magwell. It really makes the officer length grip more manageable. I wouldn't own an officer gripped 1911 without one installed.

Best CCW gun I have ever owned.
Once I started carrying/shooting it, I have never considered a different one.

After all the nice info about 1911s, I'm considering for my first non-revolver about getting the Aegis II as well. That's one fine little gun, but I'm just going by specs and looks... I'd of course have to try one out, but it looks like a fine carry piece.

And yea, I've learned something: how to spot a 1911!

Don't forget to check out the Springfield EMP (Enhanced Micro Pistol). It is the competitor to the Kimber Aegis. You should look at both if you can find them at a gun store to see which one you like and feel's the best to you.

Don't worry about the grips (logoed) as those can be changed to a more girly choice if you want.

I almost bought the Kimber Tac Ultra II. They sure are sweet guns and you have a very nice pistol.
