I have always wanted a 10mm to me it seems like a cartridge that has it all when it comes to a fighting round. You can go as light as 135grs and as heavy as 220 grs. This was Col. Jeff Cooper idea of the ultimate handgun cartridge. The first pistol to use this round was the Bren 10 but the people who ran the company did such a terrible job on getting the guns to market that some guns were shipped without any magazines, and it wasn't long that until the company went under. The Bren 10 was based on a beefed up CZ-75 which is a form of the Browning Hi Power. The FBI picked it up in the S&W 1006 but some of the agents could not handle the recoil of this round. The 10mm falls in between the 357 and 41 magnum. Having more power than a 357 but falls a little short of the 41 magnum. Then S&W shortened the cartridge and the 40 S&W was born. Kind of backwards of all other cartridges that went from less to more powerful. I purchased a EAA Witness 10mm after a lot of research finding out the cheesy ads in gun magazines were form the EAA which is the importer of the Tanfogilo line of pistols. They started out just after WWII making gun parts an in 1955 making their on line of copies of well proven gun designs. Just as soon as I get to give mine a run I will post pictures and range report. Just wondering if any of you have a 10mm or have any interest in it. Let me know what you think.
