I brought the XD45 home today!

That's right, I brought home the very gun the NRA has given the 2006 handgun of the year award to. I had it on layaway for two days, and I happened to come across some extra cash to finally bring her home. I haven't shot it yet, but I hope to do so very soon. The fit and finish on this gun is better than I expected. I haven't been this happy since I got my first car! 13+1 rounds of .45 ACP is just, awesome!

I love mine, it is my primary concealed carry weapon and you can't beat 13+1 of .45ACP! I had to search for several weeks to find one, but I am glad I made the effort as it has really proven to be the perfect handgun for me! Right now I am anxiously awaiting a LaserMax which I have pre-ordered.

Tons of great info on XD Talk, if you haven't found it already.

    Cheers! M2

Very nice spyderdude!! I had one of these guns in 9mm when they were still an HS2000. I sure wish I still had it!! I know where it is and have let the owner know that if he ever decides to sell, I will take it back.

Nice buy! I've wanted to buy a "non 1911" .45 ACP pistol, and as I was driving decided that the XD was the way to go...likely this summer, since I just got a new revolver for Christmas...

    And the consensus is in.

Congratulations on getting a fantastic gun for the price and a great gun, period.

    I love mine.

Now get out there, shoot it and give us a range report!

I saw one when when I picked up my G36 a few weeks ago. Told the dealer I would like an all Amereican gun, show me the gun. He laughed and said 'made in Croatio'. I was shocked. I walked away stunned. Now Im over it and will be going back to get one in a few weeks. I think its like spitting out a glass of orange juice in the dark. Its not that it was bad, its that you were expecting milk. And I have heard nothing bad about this gun. Its just at the time I thought SA was pure American.

I Know Glock is mostly Austrian. But I knew that before I was surpised.
Cant wait for the range report. Its snowing and cold here.

got mine just this week, too!!

have only put ~200 rounds thru it yet, feels great, but im not satisfied with where my ability is with it. no glitches at all yet, right out of the box. "field dressed" her once so far, just to look for wear, running great so far!!!

very comfortable, cant believe its a 45 when im carrying under shoulder. have yet to explore other carry possibilities.

    Pictures Of The XD...

have been jumping out of the magazines at me...
But I can't seem to stray from my present two choices, Kimber Ultra and Glock-36...maybe some day I'll have a chance to fire one.
