3rd generation Smith autos are very under rated guns.....I had a 6906that ran perfect and shot better than me...the single stack 3913 is also an excellent variation and both are approved off duty guns for the LASD....the only mod I made to mine was on the slide release...for such a compact gun I felt it stuck out a bit too far...that was an easy fix at the gunsmith though...enjoy!

Nice find at that price....as stated the S&W 3rd Gen. guns are sweet. I got two (1006 and 1066) and I'd like to get a few more for the collection.

    Enjoy the new gun!

For 300 it is a good deal, I carry a 6946 (DAO, SS slide with AL frame) and I have over 3500 rounds without one failure. It is the perfect size, weight, easy to carry and fits my paws very well.

    Buy it!

I am looking for a used Smith auto just because I want to have one in the safe. I am happy to see that some here like them, it seems that many just hate anything Smith that doesn't have a wheel.

Now I guess it is time to learn what falls into the 3rd generation that people here seem to like so much.
