    Talking Mine! Mine! All Mine....bwahahahahahahaha!

Just got back from the gunshow WITH my brand new M642 S&W Airweight 38sp+P and I'm one happy camper. Picked up a HKS Speedloader and some good 38sp +P ammo, although I plan to carry it stoked with the MagSafe 38sp SWAT load.

This is the gun that's going to allow me finally to go about South Florida without a "cover garment" in our HOT weather. I can now be more comfortable and more casually dressed.

Wanna know the BEST part of this deal? It cost me exactly .... ZERO. It's my FEE for CCW instruction from a couple of my best clients. They went with me to the show. They brought the toys I'd recommended they purchase after my CCW Class. Then they wanted me to walk them around the show and advise them on accessories which they purchased with no questions asked. I'm going to teach them how to use all the stuff and spend as much time on the range as THEY need to be competent. I figure my "fee" request was reasonable and so apparently did they.

As soon as I take it to the range, I'll post a report and some pics.

    ExSoldier:

You SHOULD be a happy camper!

I'm turning green (and maybe a few other colors) with envy.

Maybe I'm in the wrong line of work...

(I did have a friend give me a Ruger Single Six for doing up his custody decree (after his divorce, cash was in short supply, and I'd rather have the gun anyway), but that's not a regular occurrence).

    Thumbs up

Nice firearm...but, of course you already knew that.
Yep, that should be a real comfy one to carry in So Fla.
    Can't beat the price either.

Realy?..... Wow, Im amazed you went so long withought a small framed handgun.

Talk abought tough! Ex is so tough, he caried a fullsized frame firearm daily. Wearing a cover garment, in 100+f heat !

Im sure that .38 is going to be a regular carry circulation.

    Good one on you sir!
After carrying boat anchors for 7 years, I too, have found the joy of the S&W 642. With +P rounds, I feel it is pretty good. I truly enjoy the lightweight part of it and am experimenting with pocket carry.
Also, it carrys GREAT in a Don Hume JIT belt slide holster.

Sounds like a decent "fee" to me. Nothing like getting "paid" to do stuff you like to do anyway.

That is a pretty cool idea. Not bad at all.

Enjoy that little .38, it is going to feel pretty good walking around in that heat with no cover garment and still being armed!

You should be happy. Can't wait to see the pictures.

Nice choice Jim, I love mine. I've got a COM 3 iwb from HBE, a cheap Uncle Mike's pocket holster ($12) and a neoprene Desantis ankle rig I got from ..... oh yeah, YOU! Gives me plenty of carry options for the little guy.
