Any comments out there on the Model 60 (2 1/8") for CC?
I was going to ask about the 642 & 637 also but I'll read about those in a previous post.
Thanks!

WHAT ELSE COULD YOU ASK FOR?
Apart from heavier I think the M60 is a superb smaller revo.
The ''Chief's Special'' is IMO a classic altho numerous varients - only thing I do not like so much is round butt, but that said this is a concealment gun and a good one IMO.

I carry a J-Frame daily, and have for years. They plain work and you are likely to be carrying it when you don't want to carry anything, thus meaning you carry more often.
The 1911 in the safe doesn't do you any good when you are out on the street.

There are Square Butt conversion grips for round butt J~Frames just FYI.

I'm looking for the same type of gun myself for carry duty and for my wife to use at home.![]()

The M60 would be one of my top three choices for a .357 snubby, the other two being the S&W 640 (for pocket carry) and the Ruger SP101. For magnum rounds I prefer the extra weight of a steel frame.

Carried and shot the 60 in 357Mag. it's a handfull but it's a good carry gun . The older 60s in 38spl are a great choice also <I've had many of those too.. TOO MANY of em.....thinking back now LOL

I have the 642, the 640 and a 357 mag M60. The centenials are worn more for CCW and the M60 gets carried when I am hunting. Steve48
I haven't carried a model 60, but I like them. I like the heavier frame, but the weight may not be as handy to carry as some lighter versions.
I have an older 60 .38 Spl and have not carried it all that much as it is mostly my wife's gun. I did carry the 37 which is the lightweight model for 20 + years and did enjoy how weightless it felt.
If I were going to buy a new one I would probably lean towards one of the new light versions just for ease of carry.
The hammer on the 60 can dig into your side (depending on build) if you carry IWB. It can also snag on clothing when drawn.
Take a serious look at the 640 and 649. These two guns solve that problem.
good luck,

I had a Model 60 1 7/8" 38spl for years then last year a friend had his stolen and begged and pleaded for me to sell it too him I ended up with a brand new 60-14 2 1/8 357mag. I am a wheel gunner at heart and I am switching back and forth from my K9 and Mod 60. The light weight ones might be nice to pack but I like to shoot them with my carry load so the weight issue is a non issue for me.
My Model 60 with a 3" barrel. Excellent carry gun.![]()

Nice gun DC! Bet that shoots like a dream with the extra barrel length.
