Rohrbaugh R9 Thoughts, and Ammo
I recently got a Rohrbaugh R9S and would like to know what PP ammo those of you that have one have been happy with. 115 or 124 grain ammo? I really like this gun and want to make it work for me.
Also, how do you all like your expensive little pistol?

HV - I think you are on the Rohbaugh forum? Plenty of thoughts there. http://www.rohrbaughforum.com/YaBB.cgi - ah OK just saw your post there!! (I am R9SCarry there!)
I love the lil pup - and have personally found and liked 124 GD's and so stuck with them. Only put a small amount of ammo thru these days for practice.
I believe tho Karl has liked Silvertips but forget without checking. My feeling is to find what works in your own gun - as long as std pressure, no +P.

I am currently carrying Winchester white box 115gr JHP in my R9s. My pistol likes Winchester ammo, so, I shoot it and I carry it. I have not tried alot of different ammo just because I don't think there is a substantial difference in ammo by the big names. I have noticed that bullets will keyhole from my pistol, so my mindset is shot placement over ammo selection. As long as the ammo is reliable. Just my humble opinion.

Re the tumbling tendency - I have a page on this on my FAQ site for those concerned ....
HERE
It is a result of a necessary but generous 1/4" freebore.

Not to be stupid, but how can you tell the bullet is tumbling.? Its moving too fast for me to see
I am guessing it is because the barrell is so short.

how can you tell the bullet is tumbling.?
It's a subjective assessment from holes in target. if a bullet suffers a slight tumble then the hole is out of round - often slight but sometimes what folks call a keyhole effect if more marked.
