    Pocket-Sized Gun

Ok guys, I KNOW this thread has likely shown up here before, so sorry.

I am looking for a good gun for pocket carry. There are times when it's the only mode that will work, and my smallest gun, a Glock 27 is just TOO big.

This would be a "once-in-a-while" carry gun, so I also don't want to drop a lot of cash on it.

    Any suggestions?
Gun Control means never having to say "I missed you."

    - Glock 27 (.40)
    - Kel-Tec p3at (.380)
    - Beretta 96FS (.40)
    - Smith & Wesson 5906 (9mm)

Kahr PM9 or a S&W airweight J-frame revolver are about the best choices for a great reliable carry and shoot piece. There are many others, but I regard these as the ones others are judged by. I personally carry a Rohrbaugh, but that might not fit your budget. If you want smaller, then look to Kel-tec or Seecamp.

If you can find one....and you can find one if you look... A Colt Mustang .380.
Perfect in a back pocket holster....

    I have a J-Frame and a PM9.

Of the two, for the pocket, I prefer the J-Frame. Either is good, but I think the J-Frame is better.

My little kel-Tec p32 has run flawless for me and it is in my pocket every waking moment. I would feel naked without it and they are reasonably priced.

If you don't want to drop much cash, as you stated, then I can agree that you should look at the a Kel-Tecs.
I only got mine last night but I'm already an advocate based on the fact that my wife slipped it into her jeans pocket while my back was turned and asked me to guess which pocket it was in, she's very slim too. I had no idea, I even said neither, "is it in your bra?"

The gun hides well, the warranty is bulletproof and they don't cost enough to require too much deliberation.

I have both on the table in front of me.

    A Smith & Wesson 642 w/Crimson Trace in a Mika's Pocket Holster is a nice rig.

It's a great pocket holster for just $19 including shipping: http://www.frontiernet.net/~akim/
