    New G30 picked up today.

I just picked up my new G30 today. Took it to the range right after work and put 200 rds. downrange without a hiccup. I love this thing. The only thing I would change is maybe having the trigger shaved smooth. Those little ridges eat your finger after awhile. Maybe I just need to get to the range a lot until I get used to it....

Congrats. Your finger will get used to it.

Congratulations and good luck with it. I recently aquired a G30 as well and love it. I carry Federal Hydra-Shok 185 gr +p rounds in mine. Great firearm, you'll be happy with it I'm sure.

I personally feel that the G30 is one of the best handling Glocks out there. My BUG is a G36 for the thin grip, but still like the G30 better for the handling characteristics.

Great choice and you'll never notice the trigger after awhile.

I replaced the mag floor plates with a type that matched the checkering on the front strap and that is the only thing I've done to mine. BTW, a good and recommended change I feel.

Enjoy it, it is truly a great piece.

I have been eyeing the G36 for a long time but have never shot one nor do I know anyone who owns one. Comments on these? (No hi-jack intended here a PM will suffice.)

I really like the G36 as the thin grip makes it very concealable under light clothing. Other then the single stack it is pure GLOCK which means reliable and combat accurate. The people I know that don't like it are traditional GLOCK shooters that make comments like it doesn't feel like one! When ever I hand it to a non GLOCK shooter they always have positive comments. I wish GLOCK would do a single stack 19.

    Thank you Sir.

I've handled one and liked it. Personally, I think I would add a +1 magazine extension to the G36 if I ever purchase one.

BTW...I have written to Glock, in the past, and have posted this on a Glock forum and a few others...They should make a Commander size single stack. Basically extend the G36 in both directions. It didn't go over well and Glock never got back to me.

I like the idea of a G19 single stack as well but I am affraid that Glock fans are just Hi-Cap folks.

    Who knows...maybe someday...

Very nice! I have never even held a G30 or a G36 but I want to hold one of each. Chances are, after holding one, I'll want one.

I really like the addition of the light rail to the G30. Not that I would have any intentions of using a rail mounted flashlight (that's another six pack) but I think the rail DOES enhance to look of the Glocks...but I absolutely HATE the fingergrooves - go figure? The G30 kinda reminds me of a "chubby" Glock 23.

    Nice piece!

Dude, I want one of each! The G30 is the sweetest shooting GLOCK I have ever tried. The G36 is like a totally different pistola. I am real thin and that is why I did not pick the G30, but I still want one for OWB carry at some point.

I love my G30 almost as much as my G21. You can swap out the trigger for the G20 trigger, it has no groves. I am glad I made the change.

Congrats on your new purchase. The only after markets I put on were Mepro night sights, Pearce Grip (PG-30) extension, and a Aro-tek titanium recoil rod. It handles and shoots like a dream!
