very nice, congrats!
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything
My old 642 is all beat up, but I still love her so! You can fall in love with an Airweight 38 in just a short time.
Yup, thats a 642. enjoy it

A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.
The 642 is definately a sharp lookin' j frame. Almost as sharp lookin' as my 640 and 340PD. Just kidding, enjoy it good luck.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
You cannot choose the conditions for a gunfight, so train in all conditions!
I really like mine....carry it alot in the summer. It is suprisingly accurate for the barrel length and sights...as long as you get used to the strong DA trigger.
Enjoy....they are very nice firearms.
--people ask why I carry, and I show them this picture. I think it says it all.--

I bought my wife the same thing for xmas.
Now if I can just get it away from her ............
A LTTLE TRAINING IS A DANGEROUS THING ....
The 642 is a proven wheelgun and a nice partner to have along if trouble arises...nice buy!

Very nice addition. Congrats. I've been thinking about getting a 642. So far, I like what I have read about them.
Great looking "J" -- You'll love it!
Hey, Snowdoctor -- you don't have to live with an excessively heavy da pull. My new 638 had a 'lawer trigger when bought last year. A new trigger return spring from Wolff was all it needed to equal the da trigger on my old (1985) mod. 49. Coupla bucks & an hours work = great trigger. Did not change the hammer/main spring.
I.C.E.?? dial 1 911 !!!
Congrats! I have the same gun.
