I been eying that as I have a 940 s&w .. The main thing is you need moonclips to use it effectly ..

Been looking really hard at this one! Ammo prices and availability make it a strong contender.

It is a POA shooter and very reliable. The moon clips don't require any tool to use easily, but the recoil from a 9mm 115 gr practice round was harsher than I expected. I would assess it as an acceptable option for a backup gun, especially for someone whose EDC is a 9MM.

I have a Ruger in 380 only because when I went to buy 9mm they had just come out and all the 9mm was sold,so I ended up with 380.The platform has performed flawlessly.I'd buy the 9mm in a heartbeat.

My thoughts exactly. With the price and availability of 9mm ammo it would be a great choice. Wonder why every where I look, it is about $100 more than the 38 Special version?

My everyday carry is a 45 and would love to find something small in 45 as a back up. Not sure that exists though. Surprised to hear that about the recoil. What would you compare it too?

It's hard to say. All my 9's are "soft" shooters. The LCR was a surprise in that respect. I usually carry a Glock 30S, which I find is a pleasure to shoot.

The smallest .45 I have is the Springfield XDs, the best for concealment in my collection.

Careful. One member here posted the trigger pull was very hard. (Shootergrannie, IIRC).

I too carry a 30S and agree with you. Might have to look hard at the XD-S again.

    What he said!
The trigger pull is very nice, I changed the grips on mine to the Delta Ergo grips, but haven't had a chance to shoot with the new grips.

I carry the standard pressure 147-gr. 9mm load, so I really, really, really want one of these...

I ordered fifty moon clips as soon as I bought my 940.

He is referring to the LCR.... Not the LCP.

I held one.... Feels the same as the rest of the LCR guns. If it is anything like the LCR 38 I had, I won't shoot it very well :(

I have one and like it. But I have other LCRs and like them all. The only concern is 115gr 9mm shoot about 4"low of point of aim. 124 and 147 shoot right on (all around 7 yds).
