    Sig 220R, yea or nea

I looked at a Sig 220R Carry and got that feeling, I believe it has an aluminum frame and has some smoothing work done by a Smith. It's used but not much it looks good.
Any known problems with this pistol, I know Sig is a good brand.

Sig 220's a very nice gun & very accurate. When I changed Depts 11 years ago, I tested several .45s to buy for duty. For me, the 220 was the best shooting of the bunch. I ended up buying a Glock 21 though, because it was the second best shooter & carried quite a bit more rounds.

I think it's a little too big & heavy for a EDC, but that's me.

    P220 is a good gun...

The Sig P220 is generally considered a classic DA/SA .45, and has lots of fans. The P220R Carry is a newer model of the gun with a shorter barrel and slide. I haven't heard anything bad about them, and would trust Sig to make a reliable gun.

Sigs are great guns. The only negative that I know of are my own complaints of the DA/SA trigger. If you don't mind DA/SA they're great. I'm drooling over a P220R DAK now. (mentally at least - haven't found one yet).

I carry a 220R everyday at work, I chose it after a long search and testing period. If the 1911 did not exist, I would say the 220 is the best combat .45 out there.

    The SIG 220

It does have a history...a long history of being a fantastic handgun.

The pistol started out (way back) being The Browning BDA in .45 & then went on to become SIG/Browning P~220.

Yes, it is a John Browning designed handgun.

It's an amazing perfectly ergonomic naturally pointing pistol that is incredibly accurate and almost boringly ultra~reliable and will feed nearly everything. The grip angle and grip configuration....flawlessly perfect.

The Sig 220 is great! The compact shortens the barrel, with the same size grip. My wish would be to reverse that- shorten the grip and leave the slide and barrel longer. (like a 1911 CCO) IMO

The 220 is great and last almost forever!
