been posted in another thread I believe. I'm not a fan of Glocks or their fan base, but if these end up selling for the same price as the m&p shield, I might do something I promised myself I'd never do by adding one to my collection.

Well judging by Mas's hand I can probably get one finger under the trigger guard and my trigger finger may not fit, but my wife may like it.

I'll stick to the G26, thanks!
But, it does look "cute" and I'll bet that everyone will line up to be beta testers for Glock!

If money and value were no object in choosing a polymer single stack pistol, PPS > Shield => XDs > G43 in that order. Otherwise depending on value and whether the G43 goes for sub $400 OTD, Shield > G43 >= XDs > PPS

Yea, it's a great gun and I would choose it over the Shield if all things were equal, but it's not $150-$170 dollars greater than the Shield IMHO. If they ever bring their price point down by doing what Springfield has done with the XDs via "Essential Package", then both Glock and S&W have something to worry about.

Good point. Seems like Walter is putting their resources into the new CCP which I don't like. Waiting for an HK VP9C

Mas had that video on his blog week or two back. It was actually funny because earlier that day I was telling my friend that based on the innuendo of Glocks most recent Facebook posts it sounded like the ss9 was coming. Then later that evening he texts me "check out Mas' blog!" and there we have it.

At first I was really itching to get my hands on one of these little G43. Now, from the sound of things, it doesn't seem like it will serve me any better than my Shield. The Shield has been flawless and just plain great, so it seems pointless and even foolish to replace it. In the end I know I will probably still get A G43. I can justify it by saying that I carry a G26 most of the time so another Glock will fit naturally into my rotation. I just need to hold out until I can get it for less than the $580 MSRP, yikes!

I'm actually excited about it. I am number 3 on the waiting list at the LGS. Of course I'll be using it to make holsters mostly, but I'm hoping to talk the mrs into carrying the 43 so I can steal her 26!

and bought him a free lunch..

G26,the greatest glock ever made holds 10 rounds and is plenty small...

I sure is great to have such a variety to choose from; something for everyone.

    1. PPS...I like Walther, and I have tried to like the PPS...but I can't stand the grip.
    2. Shield... Had one but gave it to my father. He loves it.
    3. XDS...I don't care for XD's in general. I don't know why...kind of odd really.
    4. Glock... No love affair with Glock, but for striker fired guns, I find them to be the most utilitarian (for my personal preferences)

Chances are high I'll buy the G43. I really like the 42 and a >slightly< larger 42 in 9mm appeals to me.

I'd rather see a VP9c or a single stack HK...but that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Nah...Glock has nothing to worry about and won't anytime soon.
