    gun in a steamy bathroom

    Say you brought a glock into a small bathroom with a shower going. It gets steamy. I assume a glock is probably not going to get damaged, but would you give any special treatment the gun to make sure it stays healthy? Is just 'airing it out' afterwards with the slide off, magazine out ok?

    I guess the bigger question is;

    why do you need a gun in a steamy bathroom?
    If we treat every gun as if it was loaded, then why not treat every individual as if they are armed.

    I wont address the why or why not , of a glock ( or any other " shower gun " since in a motel my carry gun joins me in the bathroom . ) What i do is take a folded towel , and lay it ontop of the toilet tank, then slip the pistol into the folds of the towel. The gun is safeguarded from the wrost of the steam ect.. that way . Hope that helps you .

    I wouldnt even mess with it, its still good to go. Glocks can take a lot more than a steamy bathroom. A glock is a tool no need to baby it.

    The steam wont hurt ammo , and with adiquate cleaning will not damage any firearm , I just dont like to see condensation on mine so i tuck them in a towel , besides should i need it i will need the towel too lol .

    I have carried my glocks in the pouring rain and have had them soaked all the way through. (Thanks to the wonderful Pacific NW weather). I have just quickly broke them down, wiped off the moisture and reassembled, and I have never had a problem any corrosion or function problems. They are the only firearms I would trust to not corrode with that little of maintenance.

    I wouldn't really think twice about being in a steamy shower room, unless the water was just beading up all over the weapon.
    I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

    I take my Glock right into the shower, kind of a "Glock on a rope" thing....

    Shower Gun

    Some of you might consider a shower gun a joke. My uncle was in the shower and someone came in the house and got his wallet and took some other things. The thing he forgot to do was to lock the frount door. To this day he still dosen't lock the door.

    I agree with just tucking the gun in a towel. With regular cleaning and maintenance it should be fine. I never leave the same ammo in my guns for an extended period of time. My ammo is constantly being cycled out.

    Pack it in some good grease, Then put it in a zip-lock bag.

    I think it will be just fine sitting on a towel. I put mine on a towel sitting on the counter top when I shower.
