    Cult of the Tupperware

    So I did it.

    I caved in.

I was getting kinda sick of buying all sorts of cool but not main stream auto loaders and having them be less then 100% reliable.

I was considering another "brilliant" purchase when I went into my local shop, saw one of the Ellet Brothers "Homeland Defender" packages and bought it.

    I know I said I wouldn't do it.

I know that I am not a usually a conformist.

I know that this was a good decision.

    Ellett Brothers "Homeland Defender" model
    -Glock 19 9mm
    -GTL 10 tactical light
    -Trijicon night sights
    -Factory installed extended mag release
    -Factory installed extended slide stop
    -4 hi-cap magazines (15 rounds)
-Lame ass gold logo on slide (the only negative)

Sold as a package, cost $660

What a great deal. Haven't shot it yet. Don't expect any surprises (it's a Glock for crying out loud). I am sure I will shoot it well. Shot a 23 last week (same size but in .40) and I was spot on.

I hate Glocks. They are ugly and the grip feels like squeezing a pot belly pig. But, it was a good decision and the damn thing is growing on me. Go figure...a friggin Glock!

I am also a convicted, dyed in the wool, shoulder holster lover as I spend way, way to much time in a cage on wheels so I went ahead and ordered a gun and two mag holster from Survival Sheath. Can't wait for that!

    Welcome to plastic land.

And at that price they were giving some of those extras away, by my reckoning the gun, light and mags is about $650.

    Well done.

You don't have to keep it you know...

Just kidding. I have 3 (non-glock) Tupperware guns.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like a great deal on a great gun.

I like the logo--- maybe that says something about me. It is the light hanging from it that I don't like so much. Regardless, I may have to look into one of those.

    Nice set up.
I have the 23 w/xd light, the xd light does not stick
out past the end of the barrel.

Congrats, and hey; it's not an act of conformity to buy an utterly dependable gun for self-defense - it's just smart and responsible. If that utterly dependable gun happens to be a Glock, then so be it.

    Congrats!

I have 3 "plastic" guns, no Glocks yet. These days we're more than a cult, we're an established religion.
