    Mag question

I have been looking on the net and I have seen a couple mags that I like a lot. This pic on here of the mags are prob my favorite. Is there anybody that makes a mag like that for a Glock 27? Does anybody have a pic of it or better yet where I would be able to get one? Thanks

The mags pictured are Makarov mags. I would not want open mags.

They collect dirt to easily. Of course a Mak likes dirt a lot more than Glocks do.

Is weight reduction the theory behind them?

No the Soviets just wanted to save money and speed construction.

I have to clean my Makarov's mags every week if I carry it. Complete disassembly and reassembly its easy but annoying

FYI .380 Makarov's use the same mags as 9x18mm Maks

I've never had any trouble with my Mak mags , of course I don't
toss em in dirt or mud much.

Keep in mind that in the Russian Military of old, pistols were mainly
for officers and covert ops - or a badge of office for the Elite.

Other than the cutout mags , Maks are pretty rugged though.

If your heart is set on ultra uber cool looking open mags...

make sure you don't drop them in the mud when the SHTF.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

I wouldn't want open mags. I sure wouldn't carry them or trust my life to them. Anything could get stuck in there and gum up the works.

Glocks run damn near perfectly with their factory mags...why screw up a good thing by buying these?

    elrey718,

I'm curious to know the reason you want to buy them, is it for weight reduction.
