    Springfield Arms Micro-Compact .45

Okay the weather turned into the 70's here in Va so I figured that I need something alittle smaller profile than my KP944 to carry during the summer. Bit the bullet and put a deposit on a SpringField Arms Micro-Compact .45. 3" barrel, 2- 6 six round magazines, Tritium 3Dots combat sights, 5-6lbs trigger, rail with a XML light & Cocobolo hardwood grips. WOW you should feel the trigger on this pistol! The pull is NOTHING like my Ruger(which I love!) I was kindof torn about actually getting it cause I really wanted to stick with a 40 cal so I didnt have to buy now 3 different kinds of ammo. But it was a deal that I couldn't walk away from. $300 under the suggested price. I'll pick it up in 2 weeks after my eye surgery and will let you all know what I think about it when I put it thru its paces at the range. I figured it was better off staying in the store than me rushing the healing process and wanting to get it to the range. But it is just the size I was looking for. I just hope it shoots like it feels.

adding the SA .45 to my signature block.

Be sure to let us get a range report. I'm thinkin' 'bout gettin' either a SA compact or micro.

I absolutely love my Springfield Micro compact bi-tone. I don't mind different calibers. Steve48

I have the GI version, love it! It's at the gunsmith getting a 4 1/2 lb trigger right now. You should find it a very nice piece, I've met many micro owners who are very happy with them.

So far it has happily digested every different round I've tried in it.

Love mine, too. Shoots great - shoots straight - shoots every time.
Walk steathly - and carry a big Springfield.

I enjoy mine as well. It's gone bang every time I pull the trigger no matter the ammo. I have the Champion version. I'm waiting for some custom grips to be made - if I can make up my mind as to the type of wood.

That's my EDC as well - and I love it; not a single problem and it eats everything I've fed it so far.

You would do well to polish the feed ramp when you get it; a little smoothing out can't hurt. The ramp is at such a steep angle on these sub 4.5" guns to keep them short, and that's where a lot of people have had problems.

The ONLY problem I have with mine is that the sights are off a bit - not much you can do there, though. I would love for someone to tell me differently.

Also, if you are so inclined - think about getting a smith to break the edges down on that ambi-safety.

    Great piece - congrats!

I test fired this gun and I fell in love with it. The only problem for me was the price! Does anyone know where you can pick one up for a deal on the internet?

If you can live without the bells and whistles the GI version is about $550.
