Congrats to the wife. Hope it works in to where she really likes it. I've been thinking about a 27 for summer carry and when small would be better. Besides my normal 23 and house-bound 22 would like the company. lol

dr_cmg, If the Hogue seems too bulky, you might want to try a Glock sock. A bike inner tube. It does help with abrasion and still gives a tackier feel. I know more than a few guys that use it and prefer it to the Hogue. As for recoil, there are some .40 rounds that are easier to control. Fed. 135gr. Personal Defense is one. Recoil is lighter by a fair margin.
Sounds fun. Unlike me..my baby likes Glocks..(OK, I can tolerate them)
and wants a G27 in the near future.
Having fired a G26 extensively and not liked the way it Seemed to want to fly outta my hand..and a G22 years ago with some hot Pro Load ammo, and found it objectionable.
I do have some concerns about recoil, but I guess it will be up to her to decide.
congrats nice choice, i just picked up my wifes first gun as well (a Glock 19) just have to send her to school now
We still haven't gotten back to the range, but hope to this weekend. Weather, end of semester, Easter, other church work, niece's wedding shower, etc. have sort of caused a problem with range time. We are on semester break, so part of the problem is solved. I perform the niece's wedding on May 5, and that will clear our calendar some more. I want her to get some more practice with the G27. Fortunately I am not concerned about her ability to utilize any firearm. She is a natural.
