    Who Carries A Wheelgun

I was just curious in this autoloading world, who carries a revolver as a "Primary" on a frequent basis?

    I myself carry a S&W Model 22-4 and a J-Frame snub.

I carry an SP101, 2 1/4" bl and have for many years. So many years, there is a dent in my waist/butt that just happen to fit the gun. Funny how that happens.

I use either my Kahr K9 or my S&W Model 60-14. Depends on my dress and mood.

I occasionaly carry a snub nose .357. Not often but there are times when it is the only thing that will conceal deeply enough.

It is a 6 shot Rossi. I do not remember the model number to be honest. Thinking about it now, I really should take it to the range some time and exercise it.

Although my SIG P228 is really my primary, I do carry a M65-3 in .357mag alot. I carried it today actually.

    Pros:
    1. More powerful round
    2. I think it is more comfortable to carry than the SIG.
    3. Point and Pull, just like the SIG. No safety to remember so handling is the same.

    Cons:
    1. Less firepower (round count)
    2. Slower reloads
    3. Slower follow ups

I carry my S&W 66-4 3" barrel, more than any of my handguns. Easy to draw and points naturally. It's a tack driver too. What's not to like? Regards 18DAI.

    Where's the option for X-frame? :D

Sorry, but I could only have four options, but you can select more than one of the four if you so choose. I really didn't think anyone would have an X-Frame as their EDC for CCW.

I myself selected the J-Frame and the N-Frame option.

Years ago I carried my 442 as my primary. About 6 years ago, I needed something with more firepower that was about as small, so I bought a Glock 26.

Now I have a Kahr PM9 & there's no need for the 442 as a primary. It's smaller, thinner, just as light, more capacity, quicker to reload, & a more powerful round (Compared to a .38 out of a sub 2" barrel).

I just bought a Taurus PT145. The poor old 442 may not see much carrying in the future, as it may well be replaced by my PM9 as a BUG.

you mean other than Bud and Chris? Those guys are recoil junkies!

Personally I've put the Mil-Spec on home defense duty (along with the Mossbergs) and gone back to my S&W 642 as primary until the G19 comes home. I'd prefer a .45 but age and injuries made me realize it was time for something lighter in weight and "thump factor."

My normal carry piece is my old Charter Arms 2-inch Undercover .38 Special loaded with 158grn. LSWCHP +Ps, usually Remington brand, in a UM Super Belt Slide (or a Strong IWB) with a Speed-Strip in the pocket.

The gun is pushing 24 years old but functions perfectly with many thousands of rounds through her, non +P for practice of course.

I bought her because she was half the price of a J-frame and I was living in Chicago at the time with my wife and a baby on the way. I needed something concealable to escort them through the more questionable areas of the city.
