What type of trigger action do you prefer...

    ...for your CCW?

    DAO?
    DAK?
    SA?
    DA/SA?

Which one and how come? I am getting ready to purchase a SIG P239 in 9mm and trying to figure out what type to get. What do ya'll prefer? Right now I am leaning towards the SAS or the Two Tone with DAK.

DA/SA, without safeties. For me, it's the best combination of (a) fastest on-target for the first shot and (b) most accurate follow-up shots. That's just me. It's highly subjective. Try a few. Go with what feels best. You can always change to a different one later.

I don't mind SA and safety but am also like ccw9mm in the DA/SA no safety camp - suits me best.

Otherwise I would also be content with DAO.

SA or SA/DA. I prefer it since that's what I was taught with. I've played around with some DAO and I didn't like the long pull for every shot.

I've only ever shot the SIG P239 in .40 and it was DA/SA. I'm not trying to stir up a debate, but I personally like the single action of the 1911. I've heard the whole debacle over SA for CCW and how things might pan out in the courts, but I will only ever carry what I can shoot well and comfortably. Having never fired a P239 in SA I cannot say for sure whether I would like it or not.

This goes without saying, but if you haven't already had the chance, try and shoot the P239 in the various trigger actions and see which one you like and fits you better.

Overall, I'll take the Glock trigger every time. Of the options you can get for a Sig, DAK.

Put me down for DA revolver or DA/SA auto, also with no safety.

SA 1911, DAO revolvers (or DAO-ish autos: Glock, XD, etc). All my carry guns have the same trigger pull from first shot to last, the DA to SA transition is something I've gotten well away from over the last several years and my accuracy has shown good improvement.

Preferences? Nice, crisp SA, Glock DAO, DA/SA and DAO in that order.

My preference for an EDC is DAO. That can be a revolver or an autoloader.

I do love the SA 1911, but for me it's not the best as an EDC.
