P3AT for me.
This is a discussion on Mouseguns??? within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; P3AT for me....
Thanks to the Kahr PM9 9mm I use as a secondary gun, I usually don't have to carry a mousegun.....but on those days that I do, it is my Kel Tec P3AT in .380 ACP.

I was looking at meeces a few months back, but ended up with a 642 instead. With how easy it is to carry I can't imagine ever getting mousey now.
When i feel the need for a pocket pistol i carry my AMT backup .45. It fits great in a pocket but carrys better IWB because of the weight.
The smallest Ive carried is the bersa thunder 380. Tho I have a chance at a p-32 but I have reserves on the 32 acp. I feel 380 is the smallest to go. And with 9mms as small as some 380s today why go smaller my .02 worth. have a great day .
Depending on the occasion/situation, I carry a "mousegun."
Most attackers are not meth-freaks or packing large weapons. Most attackers that do pack big guns, don't know how to fire them effectively. My training and situational awareness will give me the odds in most situations.
Also, I don't expect to stand toe-to-toe with someone exchanging rounds until one of us drops. I'm going to get off the most accurate shots I can while moving towards cover. If I hit the attacker with two of these rounds, he's going to have to think about that while I'm moving to cover.
I opted for the NAA Guardian in .25NAA (bottlenecked .32 case). It's my "classy" pistol. Had it customized to include meltdown of the sights, stippling of front and back straps for grip enhancement and Cocobolo grips, because they look sharp as hell.

Beretta 3032. This is the Alley Cat version with the XS front sight but you can't really tell from this picture. (BTW, the round in my avatar was shot out of this gun, magtech 71gr)
OKAY, I'll admit it, Ibought a Colt Mustang 380 the other day for that quick trip to the store and because I had to have some reason for purchasing another gun.lol
Hmmm . . . A Kahr PM-9 is my mousegun. Anything smaller would get lost :)

I bought a new Keltec P3AT. I love this little gun although I prefer a 1911, this is my everyday all day gun. My wife doesnt like me to carry my Colt in the house, but my little Keltec is in my pocket. (dont tell her).
If I carry a mouse it is either the P-32 or the R9s, occasionally R9s gets primary duty. Both get pocket carried, so it depends on how big the pockets are on the pants I'm wearing.
Kel-Tec P3AT each and everyday. "BUG" on duty, primary off. Took the place of the old Beretta Jet Fire .25 auto.
the Kahr pm9 is small, light and shootable. With 8 rds of 124+P gold dots I feel well prepared.
Although I don't have one yet, I'll be toting a Kahr PM9 everywhere with me as soon as I can save enough money. I find them to be very close in size to the K-T P3AT and is in 9mm instead of 380. Plus I haven't had good luck with the K-T P3AT.
The PM9 will serve as primary on occasion or secondary to a 1911, GLOCK 26 or 19 depending on weather and dress.
Finally gave up on the PM9 and picked up a P3AT. Unlike the Kahr, the P3AT has been a flawless feeder. Better yet, its quite a bit smaller.
As a new fan of KelTec, I will definitely be looking for the PF9s to hit the gun counters.
You better pray I dont jam, because my backup is a ball peen hammer.
