    XD 9 SC Range report.

I could do this report in three words - it's a winner.
But even though I'm fairly tired I have to say more than that. The gun deserves it.
So I shot my new XD9SC this evening, 100 rounds of Fiocchi FMJ, 100 rounds of WWB FMJ and a box each of Hornady TAP and Cor-Bon Pow'R Balls. No failures.
I tried it at 20 feet with rapid fire, 20 feet double-taps and 30 feet single shots. All simulating a SD scenario.
Then I tested it with the automated target system and ran two drills twice.

    The accuracy actually shocked me.

I have an IDPA meet on Friday in Memphis and I am tempted to take this little 3" gun along instead of my Glock 34. The Glock might have an edge, but to be honest I did not see how tonight.

It was most accurate with the Pow'R Balls. That's good as I like the ammo and now have 16 + 1 sitting in the gun.
The Hornady and the Fiocchi were similarly accurate, both impressed me in this gun, although it is probably vice versa.
The WWB was the usual smoky, messy stuff. I will shoot about 500 of it next visit to do a mini torture test on the gun. Although I don't feel I even need to, I know it will eat them up.

I haven't got photos, I'm dog tired and anyway, we all know what an XD looks like and we all know what a 1.5" - 2" group looks like.
And we know what a totally shot out X Ring looks like.

This gun is going to live with me 24/7. It's going to sleep by my bed and walk with me all day, I trust it implicitly.

I plan to carry it with the full size mag, it balances really well and as I'm tall (6'2") it will still hide.

Thanks to everyone who recommended I get one. I will get more, quite possibly the .45 next.

    We have a winnah!

I love my XD, and I got to fondle a 4" Bi-Tone .45 ACP XD today - like a bigger brother to my .40 Bi-Tone.

And people out there say the XD are crap!
I love my XD sub .40...Guy at the range let me shoot with his 9mm sub. Between the two, I liked my own just because I am familiar with it and what it can do.
Congratulations on your new best friend!

Enjoy! I love my XD-9 bi-tone service model; it's the one I chose to use during my concealed carry class and range time. Even the instructor was impressed with it! You definitely have a winner!

Welcome to the Church of Springfield!

This is my 3rd pistol, and by far my favorite. Th best carry pistol ever made. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong (just kidding).

Seriously, I was looking at a glock, a smith, and a taurus when the dealer showed me my xd9sc. It felt so right in my hand that there was no way I was leaving without it. I went right to the range and was amazed by this little things accuracy. I believe we are soul mates, meant to spend the rest of our lives together.

My wife is jealous, I've started ignoring our kids, and the dog hasen't been let out in three weeks. It's all good. XD and I couldn't be happier together. I can't wait to recieve my CPL, because it feels so wrong leaving her behind when I have to go out, and I'd never forgive myself if something happened to her while I was gone.

Congratulations on the best $450 - $525 you've ever spent

$510 out the door, including $10 NICS and TN 9.25% Sales Tax.
So I guess mine was $455 before tax.
