Don't Hate My Beretta for Being Beautiful

You know, I've seen quite a few comments throughout this board that are, how shall we say, a tad disparaging to Beretta handguns...

Granted, I haven't yet made the leap to any really high-end guns...

But that said, my Beretta 96 is BY FAR my favorite gun to shoot. I have 5 handguns, and I've rented and shot a dozen other models. I shoot constantly, and I have to force myself to practice with my other guns.

The 96 is perfectly weighted, mechanically flawless, and dead-nuts accurate.

Anybody else out their love their Beretta?

A friend of mine has the same gun.
He loves it and swears by it.
Also..I see in your signature that you have a Ruger P345.
I hope yours is better than mine was.

I am not I admit, a Beretta fan but that is more because I have gone for other makes over time.

I have seen and handled several models tho and really have nothing against them, as they do seem to be good solid and reliable guns. I didn't find the ''fit'' suited me as well as my SIG's but that aspect is always a personal thing anyways.

From my POV, if someone has an accurate and dead on reliable gun they like - there's no contest!!

HAHAHA. The Ruger is an easy gun to shoot, but it's a really tough gun to hit anything with. So long as your target is about the size of a... Chevy Suburban...

Sorry, Mod, I probably should have posted this in the Guns thread...

    Love my Berettas.

I have a 96F Centurion that I like much more than my duty SIGARMS P229. My first duty gun was a P228; I much preferred my (first Beretta, a) 92F Compact.

My HD handgun is a Vertec 92G with a Mec-Gar 20-round magazine (fitted with a Pearce +2 floorplate) and SureFire X200A weaponlight.

The stupid "safe action" doohickey on the Glock's trigger hurts my finger after about 50 rounds.

Maybe I'm just a sissy, though.

I love my Beretta too! A 92FS... it is my primary carry gun, the gun I shoot the most, and the one I love the best. I like my other guns too, but my collection will rise and fall on my whims... the only gun that is 100% safe from sale or trade is my beloved Beretta.

That said, my new Taurus 1911 has been growing on me a lot, but it still ranks second and has already been tossed around as a possible trade.

She may not be the newest, or the fanciest, or even the most powerful, but she is still my baby! (My gun, not my wife... although my wife does let me spend a lot of money on my love of shooting)

I definitely love my Beretta shotguns but their pistols have never interested me much.

I think folks are pretty good concerning Beretta on this forum.

They are good firearms. I always liked the Beretta offerings.
